In the late 90's, most of the older skins from the 80's were already involved in a more commercial scene that had nothing to do with the skinhead scene anymore. The 90's once strong Oi! scene (Oxblood, Templars, Battle Cry, First Strike, etc) was finally winding down with bands breaking up or not playing in the city anymore.
Naturally, the younger kids leftover wanted to carry on the spirit. The crew was started to be nothing more than a social club. The goals were to start bands and carry on the Nationalist, anti-communist traditions of the 80's and 90's NYC skinhead Oi! scene.
In the late 2000's, after dozens of music releases and countless shows, 211 chapters started being established outside of NYC. They were popping up all around the east coast and more. The politics remained the same, which was an attraction to a lot of the Oi scenes around the states that have been taken over by anti-fascists, communists, and political witch hunts.
Dozens of slander articles throughout the years from journalists who work hand-in-hand with Antifa have attempted to brand 211 as a bunch of street thug, drug dealing, Nazi's. In reality, the crew is a non-profit social club, made up of predominantly working class veterans, of all races, who emphasize country, family, free speech, and like to play music on the side.
211 would like to thank the ones out there who have been calling out fake news.. and to the ones refusing to back down from Red Terrorist organizations that run to the cops and press every time one of their planned attacks goes wrong, cheers!
